Harborview Renovation

This home is in the Harbor View community which was incorporated in 1905. The project involved a 4 foot bump out to include an in this kitchen renovation. The flow of the home was modified to add pocket doors between the kitchen and dining room for flexible entertaining. Architect Liz Jahn developed the floor plan and added 8 ft tall French doors to give a sense of height and volume to the room. Our kitchen design team created a plan that features a wood chimney-style hood, island with sink and dishwasher, a buffet serving counter flanked by glass wall cabinets with corbels supporting a shelf and bead board wall panel. The tall oven cabinet is balanced by a pantry with roll out storage drawers. The design elements are straight, simple lines with no wasted corner space. The bar area features all mullion glass doors on the walls and a 2 ½ thick oiled walnut countertop with stainless steel sink.
